What is the meaning of "صلاهما في الطريق" (he prayed them on the road) in the narration found in "Musannaf Abd al-Razzaq": "وَكَانَ إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ، وَهُوَ فِي الطُّرُقِ: صَلَّاهُمَا فِي الطَّرِيقِ" (And if the prayer was called while he was on the roads, he would pray them on the road), and to whom do the pronouns in the aforementioned phrase refer?

"This narration from Ibn Umar has an authentic chain of transmission, and its meaning is that if he heard the iqama for prayer and had not yet prayed the Sunnah (definition) of Fajr, he would pray it on the way (to the mosque) and then enter the mosque and pray with the congregation. It is also authentically reported from him that he would make up the Sunnah of Fajr after sunrise. As for the voluntary prayer (ratibah) after the iqama for prayer has been called, the established practice is that when the obligatory prayer is about to begin, one should not engage in the voluntary prayer or any other (supererogatory) prayer."
