The preponderant view is that the husband should permit his wife to visit her family to a customary extent. There is no harm in the husband delaying accompanying his wife to visit her family due to the distance of the place, work circumstances, and financial capabilities, and there is no sin upon the wife in that. The parents should visit their daughter as long as they are able to do so.
