Is it permissible to take a specific medication the day before medical tests, and is it permissible to break the fast after taking the medication?

Regarding the issue of eating and drinking for the rest of the day after breaking the fast due to an excuse, the preponderant opinion is that it is permissible and there is no obligation to refrain. However, it is recommended to refrain to avoid controversy. Nevertheless, they should not eat in front of those who are unaware of their excuse, for fear of accusation.
