Some contemporary scholars maintain that manufactured alcohol is not inherently impure, and therefore, there is no harm in using products containing it, such as perfumes. This view offers ease and leniency. Even according to the opinion that alcohol is impure, there is no objection to using products that contain a small percentage of it, or if it has transformed into another substance. Furthermore, many scholars permit the touching of impurity with the outer part of the body when there is a need.
