What is the ruling on someone with deviant sexual inclinations leading the congregational prayer if he is the most knowledgeable of those present in recitation?

If the aforementioned person performs actions that necessitate deeming him a profligate (fasiq), then his imamate (leading prayer) is disliked (makrooh). However, if his profligacy is hidden and no actions indicative of his profligacy have been apparent, then his imamate is permissible.
