How is the estate of a deceased sister distributed when she has no offspring, and her heirs are: her husband, her brother, and the sons of a deceased brother?

If the deceased left no heirs other than those mentioned, her husband receives one half due to the absence of any lineal descendants, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And for you is half of what your wives leave if they have no child." As for the remaining half, it goes to the full brother or paternal half-brother. The sons of a deceased brother receive nothing, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Give the prescribed shares to those entitled to them; then whatever remains is for the nearest male agnate." If the brother is a maternal half-brother, he receives one-sixth, and the remainder is distributed equally among the sons of the deceased's brother if their father was a full or paternal half-brother. If the brother is a maternal half-brother, his sons do not inherit, and the remaining half after the husband's share goes to the maternal half-brother (one-sixth as a prescribed share and the remainder by return). It is advisable to refer to the Sharia courts for the division of inheritances.
