How can we reconcile the verses that describe the disbelievers on the Day of Resurrection as being raised blind, mute, and deaf, with other verses that mention them speaking, hearing, and seeing?

Scholars have answered the problem of how disbelievers will be resurrected blind, mute, and deaf, despite verses indicating their sight, hearing, and speech, with several explanations:

1. Their resurrection in such a state will be at the beginning, then Allah will restore their sight, hearing, and speech to them.

2. They will not see or hear what pleases them, nor will they speak with a valid argument, resembling their state in this world where they did not perceive the truth, nor did they speak or hear it. Thus, what they see, hear, and speak is as if it were nothing, due to their inability to benefit from it.

3. Blindness, deafness, and muteness will befall them when Allah says to them: "Remain inglorious therein and do not speak to Me," and that will be due to the intensity of distress and despair.
