Is it true that children see angels?

Humans cannot see angels in their original form unless the angels assume other forms, such as humans or animals. This is established by the Holy Quran and the Prophet's Sunnah. Examples include Jibreel (peace be upon him) appearing to Mary (peace be upon her) in the form of a perfect human, and his coming to Abraham and Lot (peace be upon them both) in the form of men. Similarly, he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the form of a man to teach the Companions matters of their religion. As for seeing angels in their original creation, this was specific to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and anyone who claims to see them in their original form is either a liar or delusional.
