How can I renew my faith and be truthful with myself in everything?

A Muslim must be keen on renewing his faith and remaining steadfast in guidance and truth. The means to achieve this is to frequently repeat the word of Tawhid (Oneness of God) while contemplating its meaning, acting upon its requirements, and strengthening it by reflecting on God's cosmic and recited verses and the results of acting upon them, seeking help through supplication, and associating with people of righteousness. It has been narrated in the Hadith: "Indeed, faith wears out in the heart of one of you just as a garment wears out, so ask Allah to renew faith in your hearts." And "Renew your faith." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, how do we renew our faith?" He replied: "By frequently saying 'La ilaha illa Allah' (There is no god but Allah)."
