The testimony of a single woman regarding fosterage is not accepted, except by the Hanbalis, who do not accept the testimony of a mute person, whether male or female. If there are no witnesses to the fosterage except the mute wife of the father, then it is not legally established, because the testimony of a mute woman is not considered by those who accept the testimony of a single woman, and because the quorum of testimony is not met by those who accept the testimony of a mute person. Based on this, it is permissible for you to marry your paternal aunt's son, unless fosterage between you is proven from another source.
