Someone wronged me concerning a right of mine, so is it permissible for me to backbite him?
It is permissible for the oppressed to backbite their oppressor to someone who can grant them justice, based on Allah’s Almighty saying: (Allah does not like the public mention of evil except by one who has been wronged). Scholars have made exceptions for six situations where backbiting is permissible, among them is the complaint of the oppressed. This is supported by the Hadith: "The delay of payment by a rich person makes his honor and punishment lawful."
