Are the polytheistic sects, such as the “Rafidah, Nusayriyyah, and Isma‘iliyyah,” with whom we differ in fundamental principles, not destined for eternal damnation in Hellfire, while the monotheistic Muslim who abandons prayer out of laziness is, as you have ruled, eternally damned therein? And are the seventy-two sects those classified by Abu al-Faraj ibn al-Jawzi?

Every person affiliated with deviant sects receives the ruling they deserve. Among them are the knowledgeable and the ignorant, and among them are the disbeliever (kafir) and those who are less than that. The disbeliever is eternally in the Fire. As for the disobedient (asi) and the innovator (mubtadi'), their matter is with Allah. Every sect that deviates from the People of (Ahl al-Sunnah) concerning a fundamental principle of the religion has departed from them. One who abandons prayer entirely out of laziness is not a Muslim, because Islam is submission and obedience to Allah.
