Is it reported that the Prophet, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, or any of his honorable Companions, ever gave any gift to their wives?

There is no mention of the Prophet (peace be upon him) or his Companions giving gifts to their wives, except for what is stated in Fath al-Bari that the Prophet (peace be upon him) sent to each of his wives her share of a gift that was presented to him.

In general, a husband giving a gift to his wife is commendable in Islamic law, because gifts bring affection, and Islamic law has enjoined kindness to one's wife.
