What is the sanctity of human life, and what is the Islamic legal ruling on conducting experiments on it for scientific and medical purposes?

Allah Almighty honored human beings, favored them, and subjected to them what is in the heavens and the earth. Part of honoring humans is preserving them after death from desecration. Thus, Islam forbade mutilation and stated that breaking the bone of a deceased person is like breaking the bone of a living person. As for conducting medical and scientific experiments on humans, a general ruling cannot be made due to the variety of experiments.
