If the heirs are limited to those mentioned, then the daughter receives one-half, and the son's daughter receives one-sixth as a complement to the two-thirds. The full-sister receives the remaining one-third as an 'asabah (residuary heir) because sisters, when with daughters, become 'asabah, taking what remains after the prescribed shares. Inheritance cases must be referred to the Sharia courts for investigation, as another heir, bequests, or debts that take precedence over the heirs' rights might become apparent.
