What is the ruling on weaving, selling, and hanging fabric pieces that contain reminder phrases such as "The strong is not he who overcomes people by his strength, but the strong is he who controls himself while in anger," for educational benefit and to gain a slight profit?

There is no objection to painting oil canvases or making fabric pieces that include poetic verses or passages of beneficial wisdom and good words. Selling and buying them is permissible, as long as they are free of Sharia (definition)-prohibited elements such as offensive language and forbidden images. Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymeen mentioned that there is no harm in hanging some wise sayings on walls.
