Is it permissible to commit a sin, plan for it, and strive to achieve it on the pretext that humans are inherently fallible, and will Allah forgive these sins?

A Muslim must abandon sins and repent from them. It is not permissible to persist in them under the pretext that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful, for this is an injustice to oneself and exposes one to Allah's wrath. Just as He is Forgiving and Merciful, He is also severe in punishment. Allah's mercy is attained through repentance and refraining from sins. Allah is Forgiving and Merciful to the striving believers, and His mercy encompasses all things, and He will prescribe it for the righteous. A human being is prone to error by nature, but he must rectify the error with sincere repentance that includes abandoning the sin, feeling remorse, and resolving not to return to it. Persisting in sin while relying on forgiveness is a betrayal and a deprivation; whoever thinks good of Allah, acts well.
