How can one accept tribulations and increase one's good opinion of God, and is a servant's love for God evidence of God's love for him?

Among the things that help you get rid of the whispers of Satan and accept the decrees of the Lord are: knowing that He, glory be to Him, is Wise and only decrees what is good for His servants, and what is good for the servant is to surrender to Allah's judgment and be content with what He destines.

Also helpful are: bearing in mind that having good thoughts about Allah and the servant's trust in Him expands the chest and brings good; reflecting on Allah's blessings and kindness; striving in supplication; and keeping company with the righteous.

If you love Allah and strive to draw closer to Him through obligatory acts and supererogatory ones, Allah will love you. And if He loves you, you will be His hearing, His sight, His hand, and His foot, so you will not use your limbs except in ways that please Him.
