How can one have a good opinion of Allah without self-praise, especially when experiencing ease in acts of obedience after difficulty, and is this ease considered a sign of Allah's love?

If a servant strives in performing the obligatory duties and increases in supererogatory acts, Allah will love him. Thus, success in performing acts of obedience is a sign of Allah's love for His servant. However, it is not permissible to assert this definitively. Rather, the servant should hope and fear, and have a good opinion of his Lord. He should realize that all grace is from Allah, and ask Allah to grant him His love and to make him among those whom He loves.
