What are the expiations for all types of sins? May Allah reward you with goodness.

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Sincere repentance expiates all sins. Whoever repents with a sincere repentance that fulfills its conditions will have their sin erased. Allah the Almighty says: "And it is He who accepts repentance from His servants and pardons sins" (Quran 42:25), and "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'" (Quran 39:53). The conditions for repentance are: abstaining from the sin, regretting having committed it, and resolving not to return to it. If the sin involves the right of another human being, then the right must be returned or the person pardoned. Some sins also require a specific legal expiation to complete the repentance, such as the expiation for intercourse during the daytime in Ramadan.
