Is it permissible to leave a fiancée because she refuses to kiss, given that other things have occurred between them?

The suitor is a stranger to his fiancée, and the engagement is merely a promise of marriage. It is permissible for the suitor to see his fiancée to the extent necessary to decide on the marriage. However, allowing the suitor to see his fiancée and be alone with her (khalwa) is a great reprehensible act, and repentance from it is obligatory, through remorse, abandonment, and a firm resolve not to return to it. One should not abandon the fiancée because of what has occurred from her, but rather advise her, remind her of repentance, and hasten the marriage with her, while occupying oneself with what benefits in religion and in worldly matters.
