Is it permissible to place a phone to a newborn's ear for the father to recite the Adhan into it via the phone?

The hadiths regarding the adhan and iqamah in the ear of a newborn are weak. Those who act upon them do so permissibly, as these fall under the rubric of meritorious deeds. The adhan should ideally be recited directly into the newborn's ear by the muezzin, and anyone can perform this. There is no harm if the grandfather recites the adhan over the phone, or if both methods are combined, while avoiding undue burden in such matters.
