What is the ruling on musical instruments at women's parties?

It is permissible for women to use the duff (tambourine) on joyous occasions. Similarly, it is permissible to listen to rhythms produced by human voices, provided certain conditions are met. However, if the source of the rhythm is musical instruments or other such devices, it is not permissible to listen to it, neither for women nor for men.
