What is your advice to a committed young woman who is forced to marry a man who is not committed – he prays regularly but not in the mosque and has a good reputation – and will live with his family, to help her remain steadfast in her religion and be influential rather than influenced?

The wife is advised to fear Allah, adhere to His obedience, and be an aid to her husband in goodness, with patience and wisdom. She must ensure the suitability of the dwelling so that she does not mix with non-mahrams. She is also recommended to acquire knowledge and spread the Sunnah, remind her household of prayer, provide beneficial books and tapes, be a good example, ask Allah for success, and constantly hold herself accountable.
