The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, has a general intercession for all people, called the Greatest Intercession or the Praised Station (Al-Maqam Al-Mahmud), which is to relieve them from the distress of the Day of Judgment. He also has a special intercession for his believing nation (Ummah) who do not associate partners with Allah. Furthermore, there is an intercession for specific individuals, such as his uncle Abu Talib, where his punishment is lightened by placing him in a shallow part of the Fire. The reconciliation between his intercession for Abu Talib and the Almighty's saying: "So no intercession of intercessors will benefit them" [Qur’an 74:48] is that intercession for a disbeliever does not remove him from the Fire, or that Abu Talib was specially designated for this.

As for the sun setting in a muddy spring, there is no authentic hadith about it. What is mentioned is what came in the Qur'an in the story of Dhu al-Qarnayn, and the intent is that the sun appears as if it is setting in the surrounding sea from the perspective of the observer.

The term "Usuli" (fundamentalist) is applied to a scholar of the principles of Islamic jurisprudence. However, the disbelieving media uses it to distort the image of Muslims who adhere to their religion, describing them as backward.
