Is it permissible for a Muslim woman to pay Zakat al-Fitr on behalf of her father?

If someone pays zakat al-Fitr on behalf of someone for whom it is not obligatory, then their permission is necessary. If they pay it on their behalf without their permission, it is not valid, because zakat al-Fitr is not obligatory for them, and it requires the intention of the one for whom it is obligatory or their agent. This is based on the concept of "unauthorized disposition," where there is a difference of opinion among scholars. The preponderant view is that it is valid if the other party approves. The Sheikh cited the hadith of Abu Hurairah with the devil regarding the guarding of zakat, in which the Messenger of Allah approved of Abu Hurairah's action, even though Abu Hurairah was an agent for guarding, not for other matters.
