Is it understood from religious texts such as "The son of Adam harms Me" and "They harm Allah" that Allah is harmed, or does this not necessarily mean that harm befalls the Divine Self?

Many texts indicate that creation harms Allah, the Almighty. The meaning of 'harm' here does not necessarily imply damage, for Allah, glorified and exalted be He, is not harmed by anything, Glory be to Him. Harm to Allah is affirmed and we must affirm it, because Allah has affirmed it for Himself. However, it is not like the harm inflicted upon creation, as evidenced by His saying, the Almighty: "There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing."
