Is it permissible to write "شَنَآن" in the noble verse, "And let not the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness," in this manner: "شَنِئَان"? And would this be considered a distortion?

The word "shanān" (hatred) is written in the Uthmani script in the Mushaf as "شَنَئَان" without a dot below the hamza (ء), because the maddah hamza (extended hamza) is generally not written on a carrier (like a ya, waw, or alif). It is not permissible to write the hamza of "shanān" above the dot (on a nabra) in the Mushaf, because the Uthmani script of the Quran is a followed Sunnah (tradition).
