Is the make-up prayer (salat al-qada') or the absentee prayer (salat al-gha'ib) obligatory for a baby who died in his mother's womb in the eighth month, knowing that at the time of burial it was said that prayer is not obligatory for him because he was born dead?

Scholars differed regarding praying over a fetus that miscarried stillborn after four months. The preponderant opinion is that one should pray over it, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "The miscarried fetus is prayed over, and forgiveness and mercy are supplicated for its parents." If prayer was not offered for it at that time, then it should be prayed over now. If the grave is in the same town, then the prayer is offered at the grave. If it is absent from the town, then the absentee prayer (Salat al-Gha'ib) is offered for it.
