The questioner's accompanying her mother and taking care of her is better rewarded for her, due to the closeness it entails, and the righteousness and benevolence shown to her. If the mother does not need her, and her daughter and her husband are sufficient in taking care of her, then she is not obligated to travel with her, unless the mother orders her to travel with her and there is no unbearable hardship in her travel. However, if there is unbearable hardship in her travel, then she is not obligated to obey her mother in traveling.
