What should a husband do if his wife refuses to cover her hands after being asked and commanded, and is he permitted to threaten her with divorce?

A woman must cover her face and hands in front of non-mahram men. She must also obey her husband, who is her guardian. The husband may admonish his wife if she disobeys him, then abandon her in bed, and then strike her a non-violent blow if admonition and abandonment do not work, while also having the option to threaten her with divorce. The husband must be gentle in his admonition, for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah is gentle and loves gentleness, and He gives for gentleness what He does not give for harshness, nor for anything else."
