Is it obligatory for a Muslim to believe in the books of the Torah and the Gospel, or in the Jewish and Christian religions?

Muslims must believe in all the books and laws that Allah revealed, in accordance with His saying, "Say, 'We believe in Allah and what was revealed to us...'" and His saying, "O you who have believed, believe in Allah and His Messenger and the Book that He sent down upon His Messenger and the Scripture which He sent down before..." What is meant by this is the original, authentic books. As for what is in the hands of the Jews and Christians today, it contains alteration and distortion. Therefore, we believe in what Allah revealed from them and disbelieve in what they have distorted. Belief in the previous scriptures means believing that Allah legislated them for the people of their time, but the law of Muhammad, peace be upon him, abrogated what came before it, and it is the only law that must be followed now. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "By Him in whose hand is my soul, if Moses were to appear among you and you were to follow him and abandon me, you would go astray."
