How can the noble verse: {Say, "If mankind and the jinn were to gather in order to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to aid one another"} be reconciled with the noble Hadith: "Behold, I have been given the Qur'an and something like it along with it"?

There is no contradiction between the verse and the hadith. The verse states the impossibility for humans and jinn to produce anything like the Qur’an, while the hadith states that Allah granted His Prophet another revelation similar to the Qur’an, which is the Sunnah that clarifies the Qur’an. The Sunnah is like the Qur’an in that it is a revelation sent down from Allah and in the obligation to act upon it and obey it, as Allah Almighty says: {Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. It is not but a revelation revealed} [An-Najm: 3-4], and His saying: {He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah} [An-Nisa: 80], and His saying: {Obey Allah and obey the Messenger} [An-Nisa: 59]. So, the Sunnah is like the Qur’an in that it is from Allah, and not from humans or jinn.
