Does receiving intravenous fluids (medication or nutrition) after an appendectomy during daylight hours in Ramadan invalidate the fast?

Intravenous nutritional solutions invalidate the fast of a fasting person, because they are in the same category as eating and drinking. As for non-nutritional (medicinal) solutions, they do not invalidate the fast. A sick person is permitted to break their fast if fasting harms them, and they must make up the days after recovery.
