Does visiting an orphanage and buying supplies for the orphans count as sponsoring an orphan, or is sponsorship only achieved by sponsoring one specific child?

The one who sponsors an orphan, whether a relative or a stranger, will be in Paradise with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, like his index and middle fingers. Sponsoring an orphan means raising them and taking care of their affairs, including their expenses, clothing, and upbringing. The more orphans sponsored, the greater the reward. However, merely buying some necessities for orphans is not considered sponsoring an orphan, but it does carry a great reward.
