If you deposit the expiation money into a trustworthy charity account specifically designated for expiations, or if the bank handles this, then it is sufficient for you according to those who permit paying the value of expiation. However, if this is not an authorization for a reliable entity to pay the expiation to those deserving it, then the expiation is not sufficient for you and remains your responsibility until you fulfill it.
