The question

What is the ruling on remaining silent regarding an employee who took an advance and a financial grant from the company to perform an operation for his daughter, then had the operation performed for free at the state's expense and kept the money? And does sin befall whoever knows about this and remains silent?

The answer

The employee must inform their employer that the state will bear the costs of the operation if the employer requires the operation for the employee to be eligible for the loan or grant. If the employer gives permission, it is permissible [for the employee to proceed]; otherwise, the amount must be returned due to lack of entitlement. You must advise him, and if he does not respond, threaten him with informing the officials. If that does not work, then inform them to prevent the loss of their right.
