What is the ruling on prayers performed after hearing a sound suspected of being wind that invalidates ablution, then later becoming certain that it was wind, and does the rule of ignorance apply to them?

The emission of wind invalidates ablution. If the questioner is certain or predominantly believes that what she heard after performing ablution was the emission of wind, then her prayer is invalid and must be repeated. All invalid prayers must be repeated due to the absence of the condition of purity from ritual impurity (hadath), and this is the view of the majority of scholars. If she cannot ascertain the number of invalid prayers, she must continue to make up for them until she predominantly believes that she has fulfilled her obligation. However, Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and those who agreed with him held the view that making up for prayers is not obligatory in this specific case.
