Is the reward for righteousness that the one who honored his parents will be treated in the future in the same way he treated his parents?

Disobedience to parents is one of the gravest major sins. Allah may hasten the punishment of the disobedient child in this world, either by afflicting them with their own children, or by other forms of punishment, or He may pardon them. If the disobedient child repents, honors their parents, and seeks their forgiveness, and they accept, then Allah will accept their repentance.
