The Companion was Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas, as Imam Muslim reported in his that Sa'd said: "I saw on the right and on the left of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on the Day of Uhud, two men dressed in white garments. I had not seen them before, nor did I see them after." These two were Jibreel and Mika'eel, peace be upon them.
