Is it permissible to name a newborn "Muhammad" if the father's name is "Ahmad," so that the name becomes "Muhammad Ahmad" or "Ahmad Muhammad," and is this considered an act of تزكية (self-praise/purification)?

It is permissible to name a son Hasan (good/beautiful), and the best names are those of the prophets, such as "Muhammad" and "Ahmad." There is no objection for someone named "Ahmad" to name his son "Muhammad," or vice versa, as each is a name for a different individual. We have not found any Sharia impediment to this, and it is not considered among the prohibited forms of self-praise. Many examples of scholars bearing such name combinations have been reported, which indicates its permissibility.
