What is the reward for the Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha prayers?

Allah Almighty promised the believers who do righteous deeds reward in this world and the hereafter. The Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, promised Paradise to whoever obeys him. There is no special merit for the Eid prayers, but they fall under the general texts that promise success. Some scholars have interpreted the verse: ﴿He has succeeded who purifies himself, and remembers the name of his Lord and prays﴾ as including the Eid prayer, while Sheikh Abdur-Rahman as-Sa'di affirmed that the meaning is more general. The Eid al-Adha prayer takes place during the blessed first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, and the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm an-Nahr) is the greatest day in the sight of Allah.
