Is shyness towards one's parents that prevents one from looking at them or sitting with them alone considered disobedience?

"Modesty is entirely good, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his Companions were characterized by it. Modesty towards one's parents is good, but it should not prevent one from honoring them, obeying them, and serving them. If modesty becomes an obstacle to these duties, it becomes blameworthy and leads to disobedience towards parents."
