How many soldiers were there in the Battle of Hattin (Muslims and Crusaders)?

Al-Dhahabi mentioned in Tarikh al-Islam that the Muslims in the Battle of Hattin were twelve thousand horsemen and a multitude of infantry, while the Franks numbered eighty thousand or forty thousand, including both horsemen and infantry. The Muslims surrounded the Franks on Mount Hattin, and they were encircled. A large number of them were taken captive or killed. Islam had not witnessed such an event in the Levant since the time of the Companions.
