Does the use of cracked software for downloading scientific programs affect the acceptance of reward for disseminating knowledge?

It is absolutely impermissible to use pirated software. Good intentions and noble goals do not justify infringing upon the rights of the owners of such programs, because copyright and patent rights are protected by Islamic law. As for the academic papers downloaded using these programs, there is no harm in benefiting from them and disseminating them, provided that the use of pirated software is ceased in the future, because the fruit of knowledge is to act upon it, and one of the conditions of repentance is to abandon the sin.
