Can an expiation be made for a divorce oath in the statement: "By Allah, if we do such and such, we shall be divorced from each other and you shall be divorced," if the intention was not to do the action and to scare oneself away from divorce, while being serious about the divorce occurring if the action takes place, and seeing something better in it, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever takes an oath and sees something better than it, let him do that which is better and expiate for his oath"?

If by your oath you intended the occurrence of divorce upon the fulfillment of the suspended condition, then if you break it, your divorce takes effect and expiation will not benefit you. However, if you intended emphasis and prevention without the intention of divorce, then there is a difference of opinion among scholars regarding the occurrence of divorce, with most of them holding that it occurs. The most advisable approach in these matters is to present them orally to trustworthy scholars.
