Did Allah accept the Istikhara prayer and command masturbation when the situation became dire based on a dream, and is masturbation forbidden in Islam, and was it mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah, and what is the reason for the differing jurisprudential opinions concerning it?

Istikhara (seeking guidance from Allah) is not prescribed for what must be abandoned, nor is it for the obligatory, the forbidden, or the disliked. Rather, it is for the recommended and the permissible. Masturbation is forbidden according to the majority of scholars, and what one sees in a dream does not make it permissible, as nothing is taken from visions and dreams. It is advised to hasten to marry and to be patient in refraining from forbidden acts, for Allah helps those who seek chastity, as He Almighty says: "And let those who find not [the means for] marriage abstain [from sexual relations] until Allah enriches them from His bounty."
