Does Allah describe Himself as employing "kayd" (cunning/plotting) in His verse: "And I will plot a plot"?

In the Arabic language, "kayd" (كيد) refers to absolute scheming or contriving, whether it be for a righteous or a false purpose. Allah's description of Himself as "plotting" (yakīd) against the wrongdoers is a righteous plot by which He recompenses them for their false plots. This is a perfection concerning Allah and is not considered a defect. Allah Almighty is not described as having "kayd" in an absolute sense. Rather, it comes in the context of countering the plotting and deception of the disbelievers. It is not permissible to derive the name "al-Kā'id" (the Plotter) for Allah Almighty. Instead, it is qualified, so we say: He is a Deceiver to those who deceive, a Plotter against the disbelievers.
