How many counts is the Softening Elongation extended for when connecting, as in the reading of "لإيلاف قريش إيلافهم"?

The soft letter (harf al-leen) is the static waw (و) or ya (ي) preceded by a fatha. The soft letter is extended for six, four, or two counts if the letter following it has a temporary sukoon due to pausing, in order to avoid combining two static letters. However, when continuing recitation, it is not extended.
