What is the way to resolve severe marital disputes over money and financial demands that exceed one's capacity, which may lead to separation, knowing that the wife accuses the husband of stinginess and he accuses her of extravagance?

Among the greatest rights a wife has over her husband is her maintenance (nafaqa), which includes food, drink, clothing, housing, and all her essential needs. The obligation of this maintenance is established by the Quran, the Sunnah (definition), and the consensus of scholars. Providing for one's family is obligatory by consensus and is a great charity, and the most rewarding of expenditures is what is spent on one's family.

The wife must understand that the husband’s spending is according to his financial capabilities. Therefore, she does not have the right to be obstinate in her demands and burden him. Financial shortcomings can be compensated with kind words and good promises. If hardship persists and matters worsen, Allah has legislated divorce as a solution in such a situation.
